About Our Custom Travel Experiences
A few points to keep in mind as you begin your Journey with us:
– Most of the adventures we design range from 10–14 days
– The ideal time to begin planning is 6 months (or more!) before your trip
– The cost for most travel experiences we plan starts around $15,000 (for 2 people)
– We work best with people who see travel as an opportunity for learning and growth
– We only plan travel outside of the United States
Our Travel Designers have spent decades exploring the world, gathering experiences, building relationships, and honing their skills as artisans of adventure. Working side-by-side our partners and colleagues around the world, your Travel Designer will craft an itinerary customized just for you. The knowledge, effort, energy, and time that we pour into designing every itinerary carries a cost that our travelers are happy to pay for.

Your Hero’s Journey
The process of learning and growth through travel that we so whole-heartedly believe in at Explorer X is inspired in large part by the work of Joseph Campbell and his concept of the ‘Hero’s Journey.’ Well, when we travel, there is always the opportunity to go on two different but equally important and equally powerful Journeys: The Adventure itself (what we often refer to as the ‘Outer Journey’) and the process of learning and growth that comes with/from travel (the ‘Inner Journey’). Together, we refer to these as ‘Your Hero’s Journey.’
