The Art of Travel: Ancient Journeying Wisdom for Modern Times

  • The Adventure Hub 2960 4th Ave S #115 Seattle, WA 98134 (map)

An evening in conversation with the author of The Art of Pilgrimage, The Book of Roads, The Soul of the World, and The Hero's Journey.

Join us for an evening with veteran travel writer, adventure tour leader, author, and filmmaker Phil Cousineau, as we explore the overlap between ancient travel wisdom and modern journeying techniques. Tonight we will use travel stories from the wiliest of history's travelers, from Ibn Battua to Isabelle Eberhardt and Pico Iyer, and contemplate how we all might travel more soulfully, wisely, and transformatively. The evening will include a few film clips, a plethora of stories, and a rich opportunity for discussion.

About Phil Cousineau:

Cousineau has led art, literature, and mythology tours around the world, from Ireland and Greece to England, France, Italy, and Cuba, in search of what the ancients called "The soul of the world."
