 Day 2: December 9

Embark with your guide this morning for a 40-minute scenic drive along Lake Llanquihue to Ensenada. Upon arrival, have a complete and thorough safety talk under the shade before gearing up and driving another 5-minutes to the Petrohue River put-in. This river flows out from Lake Todos los Santos and makes its way to Reloncavi Fjord surrounded by snowcapped volcanoes such as Osorno, Calbuco and the antique chimney of Puntiagudo. Starting in a calmer section of the river, begin by practicing paddle strokes before reaching the first rapid called "Ciao Seco" ("goodbye to dry"). From here, cruise down 13km of continuous fun-filled class III and IV rapids like the tricky "Ese," "Los Pollos," "Queso Suizo" and "El Nadador" and many more. Afterwards, stop to take a break or climb on the cliffs and jump into the water. Continue another 2-hours to the take out and changing rooms before your 30-minute vehicle transfer to Lodge Las Cascadas.

Day 3: December 10

This active hike at Desolation Pass covers a large and scenic section of the park. Vicente Perez Rosales, the first park, opened in Chile in 1926. Soon after the climb begins, you will be greeted with stunning views of the volcanoes and lakes that surround this section of the park. The Andes mountain range emerges at the horizon as you reach the emerald waters of the Lake Todos Los Santos where the hike ends. You will then transfer back to town, but not without a stop at the Petrohue Falls - a combination of lava flows and water erosion with the cones of the volcanoes behind them!
